About This Spot

Stepping into Ceré Tea feels like finding a quiet, cherished corner away from the rush—a small, thoughtfully curated space where every detail invites a moment of calm. Nestled near the Westgate mall area in Saratoga, this intimate coffee shop offers a subtle hush that encourages you to linger, savor, and appreciate a slower rhythm. With just a handful of tables, the atmosphere strikes a gentle balance between cozy and minimal, inviting conversation and quiet reflection alike.

The mood here is unpretentious yet intentional. The soft hum of brewing tea and the warm aroma of freshly roasted hojicha weave through the air, mingling with the light chatter of those seeking their afternoon pause. It’s a place where slow craftsmanship meets genuine appreciation for quality—where the process of making and enjoying tea feels as important as the taste itself.

The menu at Ceré Tea thoughtfully blurs the line between tradition and creative expression, offering familiar comforts alongside unique, refreshing surprises. Whether it’s the silky Matcha Einspänner crowned with its characteristic frothy finish or the unexpected sweetness of a Sweet Corn Latte, each drink carries a distinct personality. Fruit-infused teas and delicate lassis bring sunny brightness, while the Cheese Brûlée drinks add an indulgent richness softened by a torched caramelized top that invites a slow, contemplative sip.

For many, Ceré Tea’s strength shines in its matcha and hojicha offerings—crafted with a care that speaks subtly but confidently of their quality. The generous portions and smooth, balanced flavors hint at the precision behind each cup, rewarding those who savor tea with a thoughtful depth rather than just a quick caffeine kick. It’s a spot where customization—like adding extra matcha shots or choosing lactose-free milk—feels natural, supporting a personalized experience rather than a rigid ritual.

If you’re drawn to small spaces where the human moments between barista and guest carry as much warmth as the drinks themselves, Ceré Tea stands quietly proud. It’s less a bustling neighborhood hangout and more a deliberate refuge, a place worth a little journey for anyone who values thoughtful tea experiences crafted with honesty and a hint of local charm.

Been looking for a place with good hojicha latte and Cere Tea definitely has it. It's just a small tea shop near Westgate mall area with 2 small tables and 4 chairs to sit. I ordered my Hojicha Latte with an extra shot of hojicha, Lactose free milk, 25% sweet and easy ice and it was perfect! I live on the east side of San Jose but it was worth the drive to Saratoga. Will definitely come back when I have my hojicha craving again.

YUM! The banana pudding matcha is delicious! So thick and creamy and tasty! The banana pudding alone is so tasty- the matcha is good quality here too! We did 75% sweetness for both our drinks and were worried it’d be too sweet, but was a good sweetness level for us and compared to other places. Strawberry Matcha Latte was also very good, less strawberry than other places, but I think it was good because it was less over powering you could still enjoy the matcha itself.

The matcha here is absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in their drinks, and I like how you can add extra shots of matcha if you prefer your drinks stronger. I really enjoyed the Banana Pudding Matcha Einspanner because the topping was delicious but didn't make the drink too sweet. The seating area is small (around 3 tables) so this is a better place to get drinks to go rather than to sit at and hang out. Unfortunately there was no trash can inside the shop, so all the tables when we went were quite dirty as previous customers left their trash on the table. Not a huge problem, but definitely something to keep in mind if you plan on sitting in the shop. Overall, this is one of the best matcha drinks I've had in the Bay Area, and I definitely will be coming back!

I have always enjoyed Cere Tea and love their matcha. They always have prompt service and when I ordered for pickup to the wrong location, they graciously remade my order at the location i had arrived at. I recommend Ceré to anyone looking for a good matcha in the bay :)

The matcha latte here is truly outstanding—easily one of the best I’ve had in the Bay Area. It has a rich, creamy texture with a bold grassy flavor, balanced by a light bitterness and subtle nuttiness that speaks to the quality of the matcha they use. They’re generous with the portion and matcha content, making it an excellent value for the price. The interior is sleek, minimal, and very clean, though the space is a bit small. The employees are extremely friendly, and service is consistently fast and smooth, which really elevates the whole experience. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I visited Cere Tea on a Saturday around 3 pm and there was a line. It took 20 minutes for us to order and receive our drinks. I got a black sesame einspanner at 25% sweetness and really enjoyed it. The coffee flavor was there but not overpowering or bitter. You can definitely taste the black sesame which loved! I'd definitely come back here just for that drink, but will likely order online next time to avoid the wait.

Really great matcha flavor and enjoyed the creaminess that the einspanner added to the drink. It wasn’t too sweet and the matcha truly shined! Easily one of the best matchas I’ve had in South Bay. Ordering is completed on the tablet/kiosk and drinks were made with care. Small seating area inside - the lobby can get crowded quite quickly.

If you like matcha latte, you ought to try this place. Their matcha latte reminds me of the super strong matcha ice cream I had at a well known tea house at Kyoto. I can tell they use premium quality of matcha powder to make their drinks. I usually order matcha latte with extra shot, 50% sweetness.
